Our standard stock for this rifle is Fancy Grade American Walnut with a metal forend tip and a Pachmayr butt pad
We use Green Mountain Rifle Barrels (BPCR) available in “Round” “1/2 Round” or “Octagon” at no additional charge.
We use Bartlin barrels for 22-LR. This is Bartlein’s premium bench rest barrel.
For another brand of barrel POR.
These rifles are Standard with double set triggers, choice of Caliber, Pull length and Left or Right Hand Action & Butt Stock.
Sights not included.
We will install your sights and D&T for scope mounts N/C.

All DZ Arms Hepburn Rifles are shipped directly to your FFL in a specially manufactured rifle case to ensure that your rifle and the finely crafted wood arrive in one piece. These cases are perfect for travelling to your local range or across the country to the next match and will protect your investment for years. The shipping fee of $275.00 reflects the added cost of these superbly crafted custom gun cases as well as added insurance.
Please note: We will not ship any DZ Arms rifle without these specially designed cases; if you have a similar case, you may contact us and arrange to send us your case and we’ll adjust the price accordingly. You also have the option of picking up your rifle and saving the shipping fee if you are in the Oklahoma City area as we are a licensed FFL.

OneShot –
I’m lucky enough to have secured this amazing rifle. First, let me review the looks – The engraving by Mike Gouse is precise and done in the traditional Hepburn pattern, as is the checkering by Don Faulkenberry. The whole package is perfectly finished with Doug Turnbull’s case coloring. While the pictures above were impressive, when you get this rifle out in daylight, you truly see the attention to detail – in a word, perfect. Of course, fit and finish match the superb wood Dan used.
Now let’s talk about how well this rifle shoots – I managed sub MOA right out of the box using Dan’s suggested BP load. The man knows his rifles and you’d do well to heed his advice when breaking in one of his rifles. This is a finely crafted, very well balanced competitive rifle that will see a lot of competition this year. Expecting great things – thanks Dan for building such a fine firearm!

I also was lucky enough to purchase one of these rifles. The craftsmanship is amazing, the engraving by Mike is fantastic and the amount of detail that goes into the wood work from Don is outstanding.
The rifle is very accuarte and performs just as expected. My 2nd match with the rifle I was able to shoot a score of 28 out of 40. Dan is very helpful and has provided all kinds of support not only on the rifle that he built for me but on others that i own.
I have been so happy with the rifle and craftsmanship that i just order another rifle from Dan.

Tack Driver – That’s the best way to describe my newest Hepburn, a 22 built for me by Dan Z. Dan suggested Midas Plus for ammo and then he texted me his sight settings – first shot out of the barrel hit perfectly in the middle; second target, second setting – same result; the other targets and setting produced the same super-accurate results. The payoff came the second day I used the gun at the Texas State 22 Championship – (I’ve only shot 22 once before and managed a respectable mid-AA score and that’s how I entered); this year, with my new gun, I shot a high AAA score and managed to win my class in a shoot-off. Thanks Dan, another great gun and already thinking about a long-range model.

My new Hepburn 45-90 is everything I could have hoped for. I’m a big fan of the single shot cartridge guns of the last half of the 1800’s. Dan has done an amazing job of recreating the Hepburn. This gun looks great and shoots great. The workmanship is top notch in every respect.
I made the trip to Oklahoma when the rifle was finished, and got to spend time with Dan and Rick. They are sure good folks. I sure appreciate the time that they gave to me, making sure I was ready to go with my new rifle.
And the DZ scope? I can’t say enough good about it. Total precision in the manufacturing makes this scope by far the best, and it’s easy to use.
I would recommend Dan’s rifles and scopes to any and all. I’m mighty lucky to have one in my safe!
